Incorrect tyre pressure can reduce the life of your tyres and can also lead to greater fuel consumption. So check the air pressure more frequently!

 

DON’T BREAK THE SPEED LIMIT

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The more you run, the more tiring you’ll be. Same goes to your car. The faster you drive, the thirstier your car will be. So the next time you speed, think of your car as a human.

 

GET RID OF JUNK IN YOUR TRUNK

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do not turn your car into mobile closet, gym locker, camera case and sports gear depository. Clear all the unnecessary weight off your car and help to ease the burden of your car! Your car will drink less petrol as an appreciation

 

SWITCH OFF THE CAR ENGINE WHEN STATIONARY

 

 

 

 

Switch off the engine of your car if you will be in stationary for more than three minutes whether you’re stopping by the grocery store to grab a box of milk or you’re waiting in a long line of a drive thru counter. Even if your kids were inside, turn off the engine and wind down the car windows!

KEEP AWAY FROM THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Try to stay about two to three cars away from the car ahead of you to smooth out your driving. Frequent braking  and stopping causes your car to consume more gas.

 

STAY AWAY FROM THE HEAT

 

 

 

 

The hot sun that makes the inside of your car feel like a sauna also zaps fuel from your gas tank. So try to park your car under the shade or use a windshield shade to protect your car. Avoid putting petrol during the hottest time of the day as you’ll get less than what you paid for. Morning or late evening would be a wiser choice

 

TIGHTEN UP THE GAS CAP

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gas will evaporate from your car’s gas tank if it has an escape. Loose, missing or damaged gas caps cause gas to evaporate. So be sure to tighten up that gas cap each time you fuel up your car!
