There will be a new police interceptor coming to town come 2011 when the production of the Ford Crown Victoria ends in late 2011. The blue oval has confirmed that it will build a new Police car to replace the current Crown Vic.

The new Police Interceptor is expected to be based on the new Ford Taurus. The current interceptor is equipped with a 4.6-liter SOHC V8 that delivers 250 horsepower and 297 pound-feet of torque.

Very cool and futuristic interior

Ford is promising better fuel economy, quality and durability on the 2011 Police Interceptor.

Current police interceptor – Ford Crown Victoria

Wheel-o-sophy : This car has a much fiercer look than the current Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. We prefer this more than the Chevrolet Caprice PPV in terms of looks.
